Clean, airy, and inherently romantic, the Alabaster Primrose ensemble reimagines classic white through the playful lens of nature. Set against a pure white, semi-sheer artisan canvas, winding pastel vines give rise to delicate, three-dimensional fabric florets hand-crafted in harmonious shades of petal pink, sky blue, and buttercup yellow.
Presented as an unstitched two-piece textile cut—comprising generous fabric for a custom-tailored tunic and an ethereal coordinating draped scarf—this creation seamlessly balances joyful multihued accents with minimalist, sophisticated grace.
Craftsmanship & Technique
- The Craft: Traditional Aligarh fabric cutwork and applique needlework. Each individual petal is hand-folded, gathered, and anchored to create sculptural, tactile relief across the split neckline and draped scarf.
- Color Palette: Crisp Pure White base brought to life with a soft multicolor bouquet of Rose Pink, Powder Blue, and Warm Honey accents.
-
Ensemble Inclusions:
- 1 x Unstitched Tunic Fabric (~2.5 m / 2.73 yd)
- 1 x Coordinating Draped Scarf / Dupatta with matching floral scatter (~2.4 m / 2.62 yd)
- Base Fabric: Fine, breathable semi-sheer cotton weave—lightweight, fluid, and naturally cooling on warm days.
The Bespoke Atelier Fit
Offered as unstitched fabric to offer endless tailoring possibilities. Adaptable to flowing silhouettes, classic straight tunics, or contemporary tiered designs up to US 18 / UK 22 / 3XL.
Artisan Signature & Care
Every floral motif is cut and stitched by hand by women master artisans. Subtle variations in petal texture and stitch placement are the cherished hallmarks of slow, authentic craft.
Care Ritual: Professional dry clean recommended to maintain the dimensional applique flowers. Alternatively, gentle hand wash in chilled water with mild botanical detergent. Do not wring; dry flat in shade away from direct sunlight. Warm iron on reverse using a pressing cloth.
The making
The making
Embroidered by hand in Lucknow. A single piece passes through several pairs of hands — one to block the pattern, one for the shadow work, one for the knots, one to open the jali, and one to wash the printed guidelines away.
Because each piece is made individually, small variations in the stitch are expected. They are the record of the hand that made it, not a defect.
Care
Care
Hand wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not wring or bleach. Dry in shade, never in direct sun — it fades natural dye and yellows white thread. Press on the reverse with a warm iron so the embroidery keeps its relief.
